Today, the village of Uffington is very
much a mixture of old and new. The village has fine examples of old
chalkstone buildings, many still thatched. Infilling is evident where
similar buildings have not survived and have been replaced. More recently,
the original village has expanded with the addition of modern housing

the Museum building (open Easter to October on weekend afternoons) and the
adjacent Church are well worth a visit.
