THE GENERAL DATA PROTECT REGULATIONS (GDPR)
On the 25th May 2018 the GDPR law becomes effective. This new law replaces the current Data Protection Act and inevitably changes the way we must organise our affairs. To comply with this legislation we need your explicit permission if we are to continue to contact you by email and hold basic information.
The WHGC Committee has drawn up a GDPR Policy which will be reviewed at the AGM.
All members will be required to tick a box on their membership form (annually) to say that they agree to the WHGC holding their name, address, telephone number(s) and email address and agree to be contacted by email about WHGC matters.
Membership forms will be available at the Plant Sale and on the Shelllingford visit for updating otherwise at future meetings.
NB: Non- members on the email circulation list must email me to confirm that they agree to remain on the list which is only held by the Chairman. Unless you do so you will unfortunately miss out on important news and exciting updates from the WHGC.
The Wednesday walks restarted from July 2020 with arrangements in place to comply with the current social distancing rules. Meet at the THMH as usual.
